The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is mandated to manage, protect, and conserve the country's natural environment and resources to ensure everyone has the right to a healthy environment for present and future generations, enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, section 24.

Required Documents
Application for employment form (Z83), a detailed CV with contact details of three recent references. Submission of certified copies of qualifications and other relevant documents from shortlisted candidates will be required by HR on or before the day of the interview.
NB: Applicants risk being disqualified for failing to submit all the required documents as indicated above.

Short-listed candidates will be subjected to screening and security vetting to determine their suitability for employment, including but not limited to: criminal records; citizenship status; credit worthiness; previous employment (reference checks); and qualification verification. Short-listed candidates will be expected to avail themselves at the department's convenience and must be willing to undergo a technical exercise as part of the selection process.
The persons appointed to positions will be subjected to security clearance, the signing of a performance agreement and an employment contract. The department reserves the right not to make an appointment.
