Requirements & Qualifications

An ABET (NQF 3) or equivalent qualification.  No experience required. Knowledge of propagation methods, record keeping, and Supervisory. Knowledge of operating a computer.

Duties

Conduct production activities in line with the operational plans. Allocate task to labourers as per production sheet. Check seedlings and plants for pests and diseases. Ensure harvesting activities. Prepare fire breaks. Oversee the maintenance of the plantation, and woodlots. Weed control. Watering and fertilising the plants. Render general support functions. Conduct stocktaking. Provide training and development to staff.


Candidate Profile

Sound organising and planning skills. Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, problem solving and numerical skills. Ability to work with difficult people. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work with limited supervision.
